How can a Blogger increase his twitter following?

As a Blogger having a strong and big following on Twitter increases our authority. People will take us more seriously if we have a large number of people who hear us and to prove people that we have them, we make social media accounts to gather all our lovers or followers on a single platform from where we can share our daily experiences, our new posts and other thoughts with them.

What makes a blogger different from others is a big following. In-fact it is a criteria from which people decide that which guy is an influencer in the industry and which one is not.

Can’t forget those old advices where we were told by Blogging mentors to follow those people in our niche who have large following because they are pretended to have more influence in their niches.

The idea to identify influencers by searching for their following was and is correct. Surely no one will follow a fool. So what makes us attracted towards a person is his following. That’s how our mind works, I mean if we will find a person in our niche who is being followed by many others then we will follow him too because we will think that if everyone is following him then he must have some speciality for which everyone loves him.

So what point I am trying to make is that large followings do make a good impact on your authority and if you are a blogger then it will leave a tremendous and a positive impact on all those people who have visited your blog first time.

I can still remember that when I visited ProBlogger first time in my life, the first thing which attracted me and which make me convince that Mr. Darren Rowse(ProBlogger owner) is an influencer in his niche was his Facebook and Twitter following. And I hope that other guys identify influencers in the same way.

I believe that I have explained my point very well and I know that many of you guys even knew it before reading all that what I have just written above.

But the agenda what I was trying to set is that you need a big following to tell people that what guts you have got.

So now when we all know that what importance these big followings have on our new visitors or users, now its time to talk about that how we can generate such big followings. I mean a few K(thousand) followers for a very new Blogger. It sounds a little impossible though  I can assure you that if you will implement my step by step training then you will be able to earn at-least a hundred followers in the very first month. Obviously, You can get more than this but since we need to be very sensitive as a blogger in making claims I have only assume the minimum amount of followers which you can earn from my strategy.

Here is my step by step training to increase your Twitter followers within a month:

Search and Engage Policy

The best followers for a Blogger will be those guys who are related to your niche so whenever you will share your piece of content on Twitter they will probably come across to your page from your Tweet and that will happen because they are interested in your niche and they want to read whatever you have shared with them.

So head over to your Twitter homepage and put your cursor to the search filter and write a keyword which is related to your topic. We will assume that you own a blog related to wordpress  so now we will search for people who are interested in wordpress(a tool to build free blogs). For this we will use “WordPress” as our keyword.

Now press enter and you will find some related results for your searched keyword as shown below:

As you can see that Twitter search filter will automatically find people who were tweeting about your searched keyword or hashtag as well. Now all you need to do is to engage with them by retweeting, replying and favoriting their tweets. Another good way will be to follow them after which they can possibly follow you back.

This technique to gather followers is called Follow back trick, we will talk about this later in the article.

You will also notice in this image that many people who were actually not talking about WordPress like Deepika Bhardwaj are also featured in Twitter results along with many other irrelevant people because they have shared their blogs link which are like wp.me/etc-etc which means that they also own a WordPress blog.

So it will be a good idea to catch up with them too. Because if they use WordPress then they may want to learn more about it to use it more smartly to give their Blogs a much better and professional look.

The plan is to share your quality articles with them which can be about some great WordPress plugins from which they can enhance their blog’s beauty but make sure that whatever you share with them has quality and attraction so that your content can convince them to follow you.

We all know that to learn anything one will need a mentor and how good it will be if he will reach us himself? Great han? So  this is what we will do, We will find and reach our audience directly and we will try to teach them whether they want to learn or not. In result people who were interested in our article or in our work will follow us and we will try to make them happy always by sharing quality content with them

Believe me this trick works, I have earned 30 to 40 followers by just implementing the same strategy.

Follow Back Method

I have already talked about this trick in the start of the article but since I promised to share more information about this topic so we will talk about it more.

The heading has revealed the method of this trick itself from which we will earn new followers for us.

The idea is to search and find people who are related to our niche and then we will follow them and expect them to follow us back. We will wait and seek that if they follow us back too, if they don’t we will unfollow them again.

The strategy is simple and easy as it looks. But the only problem on implementing this trick is that we also have to follow a few thousand people which will not give a good view of our profile. I mean how you will feel if you find a man who has 15,000 followers and he follows 16,000 other men too. It will look awkward, right?

That’s what I am talking about. :O Following 15,188 and having just 8,099 followers doesn’t make sense.

So I personally don’t recommend this trick but to earn some quick followers you can use this trick.

The illegal way – Dead Followers

We always have two methods to achieve anything in our life. One way is the good way and the other one is bad. Same is with gaining twitter followers. You can get them legally or you can use some black hat tricks to do so.

You would have had hear about many websites who claim to send a few thousand followers in just some weeks. Well, many of their claims are right. Since many guys have used these platforms to earn large following that is why they have become so popular that they can really send of what they claim.

I mean a good example will be AddmeFast .com, A famous and familiar website to Facebook and Twitter users which is used to get likes and shares for Facebook. Retweets and favourites in case of Twitter.

They also send Pinterest and other social media websites likes but we will just stay in our topic’s boundary and that is gaining Twitter following.

All you have to do is to sign-up for their account, Add your twitter handle in their database, earn points to get followers or retweets and that is all what you will need to do.

Though I will still not recommend this trick because its black hat and followers which you will earn would make no response to your tweets but you can still use it to increase your Twitter following rapidly.

Mention method

One of my favourite methods to earn new followers is this method what I call mention method. All you need to do is to first find your niche’s influencers, now search for their blogs, read a few articles of them and link them into your next article.

Once your article goes live you need to share it on Twitter but just do an addition to your ordinary tweet and that addition is to mention that influencer of which’s work you have linked or discussed in your content. In result he will get a notification from Twitter that Mr. XYZ has mentioned you in his tweet, he will come across your tweet and he may retweet it if he find your resource useful.

Once you get a retweet from him there is a possibility that many of his followers will respond to his retweet and will read your article. And if they will find it useful then they will follow you too.

By using this trick you will earn two different things, Number 1 is traffic and Number 2 is a good amount of followers and if your content is a linkable asset then many will link it in their upcoming articles from which you can earn some extra link juice for your Blog post too.

Conclusion

For whatever cause or from whatever way you try to gather and build a huge following just make one thing very clear in your mind and that is to get real followers who will respond to you.

Having a few hundred active followers is better than having a few thousand inactive ones. Tweeting for these inactive followers is like talking to graves.
