5 Best web directories to boost your search engine ranking

Web directories had a great importance in the first decade of 21st century. But then Google start considering these web and article directories much lesser than what they were considered before. This action was taken by Google due to abuse of such directories by Webmasters and SEOs to boost their ranking in SERPs. But still these Web directories which have high DA and PR can help you to boost your ranking in SERPs.

Today we will talk about 5 of my favorite web directories that can help you to super charge your Google ranking. These web directories have high Domain Authority(DA), High PageRank(PR) and they are completely free.

So here’s the list:

DMOZ

Directory Moz stands first in my list. They have PR 7 and DA of 94 with 574,407 outbound backlinks according to Moz database. Moz Database can be inaccurate, There is a possibility that a website let’s say Directory Moz itself is getting much more outbound backlinks than the amount of backlinks shown on Moz Databse.

So such directory sites can easily improve your online presence. As far as DMOZ is concerned, I can assure you that a single do follow backlink from here can improve your online existence.

All you need to do is to first find a suitable category for your blog, then go to suggest URL page and read their guideline.

DMOZ India

DMoz India is yet another great website submission directory which can super charge your ranking. They have DA of 82 and they respond to suggestions in a quick period. They have 1227 approved websites and 270 pending.

They can easily accept your blog or website for their directory too, All you need is great content and decent interface of your website.

Directory World

Directory world is yet another great place to have your website link placed. They have DA of 75 and Page rank of 2(which is indeed not correct since Google has not updated the PageRank bar since 2013).

However, they took a little while to respond, in some cases they might take few months when there is huge amount of submissions.

So try your luck and wait for a notification from them.

Free website directory is also a great web directory which allows both weblogs and articles submissions. Their PR is 4 and DA is 62 which means that a do follow backlink from them will do a great job to boost your Search Engine ranking.

First create your account, then verify it and finally submit your link or article. They may take a few days or few weeks or sometimes they took months to respond on each suggestion. So try your luck and hope for a quick response.
