How to improve your Alexa rank? Some tips and tricks

Do you guys own a Blog and want to improve your Alexa ranking to increase your Blog authority and to increase your customers believe on you? Alexa Rank have also a great impact on advertisers whether you are using a platform to get advertisements or you are getting ads directly. Alexa helps advertisers to find out a Blog’s value on internet by checking its rank on Alexa.

But getting a better rank on Alexa isn’t that easy, If you will start your Blog from today then you may be awarded with a rank which could be some where near 2,00,000,00. Sounds frustrating? :O, Well you don’t need to be because these ranks can improve instantly, even before your expectations. All you need is good traffic and good guidance which I will give you in this article.

NOTE: Believe me this tips will work, I have also improved my ranking from 21,616,060 to 961,844 from 6/November/2014 to 9/January/2015.

So first you need to sign-up for an Alexa account. You can do this easily by visiting their website and then clicking on Create an account button as shown below.

Once you have signed up for an account, they will send you an email to verify your account. Open the given link in the email to verify and then sign in to your a/c.

Once you have signed in to your account go to this page : CLAIM YOUR WEBSITE

and put the URL of your website in there and click continue.

After clicking continue a new window should open where you will find 3 methods to verify your website.

No.1 method is to “Upload an Alexa Verification file to your site’s root directory”

No.2 method is to “Add an Alexa Verification ID to your homepage”

No.3 method is to “Certify your site’s metrics” but this method is only available for premium accounts.

So you can use any one method to verify your Blog or Website. I will recommend Alexa verification ID method because it is very easy to follow. All you need to do is to click on Method 2 and then copy the code which they will give you and then paste it into your homepage or if you own a Blog then paste it in header section (i.e. <header>).

Once you have submitted your Blog or Website into Alexa index and have verified your Website, All you need to do is to modify it. You can do this easily by revisiting Alexa homepage and then typing your Web URL into enter a site section and then by clicking Find button.

After clicking find, your website’s analysis along with your ranking should appear. You must navigate to the bottom of the page where you will find Edit Site Info button, click on it and then a new pop up will appear, click on Claim this Site button.

Now a new page should appear which will again ask you to verify your ownership of your Website. If you have already claimed(verified) your Website, you don’t need to verify it again. All you need to do is to click on click on edit your site information as shown below.

Now a new window will appear from where you can edit your Website information which will help Alexa a lot to identify your Website’s criteria and will help them to understand your website’s niche.

Now the other thing what will help you more is to get an Alexa widget and then put it some where in your Blog or Website.

To have Alexa widget in your Website put this code some where in your site “<a href=”http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/yoursite.com”><script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://xslt.alexa.com/site_stats/js/t/a?url=yoursite.com”></script></a>” and replace yoursite.com from your site’s URL.

Well, this is the primary work you need to do to improve your Alexa Rank and to ensure that your traffic pays because what mistake Webmasters normally do is that they do not register nor they submit their Websites to Alexa or any other ranking site because of which the traffic they get doesn’t make any impact on their rank on Alexa or any other Web Ranking website.

So once you have done all primary work to ensure that your efforts and the traffic which you will get on your Website will make an impact on your ranking, you need to start doing your efforts.

And by the way I forgot to tell you guys a thing that you can select a specific country whom’s ranking Alexa will show separately(apart from Global ranking, For Example India, USA, Canda, UK etc) To select a specific country go to edit site info and follow the procedure as told before and when you reach your editing page scroll down to bottom of the screen where you will find a heading “Alexa Traffic Rank in Country” below it you can select a specific country to tell alexa that you want your ranking to be showed for this specific country separately.

Once every thing is set. You will now like to target your audience from your featured country (which you have selected in Alexa). This will not only help to get some wealthy impression but will also help Alexa to determine and then improve your Ranking according to your Blog traffic.

These tips are very necessary to follow if you want to boost your Alexa ranking instantly. Believe me, Many websites are ranking better on Alexa who do not have even the half amount of traffic other websites have. Do you know why because they are following these tactics.

By adding Alexa metacode you allow Alexa to examine/determine/calculate your Blog traffic from which they can rank you better in their list.
