Death of the artist 

November 17th 2021, was a hard day for Thorton’s fans and family as he was fatally shot in Memphis. He was getting some baked goods for his mom at the Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies bakery. This was a bakery he often visited whenever he was back in his hometown. 

However this time he didn’t return, as he was gunned down by two gunmen in white two doors Mercedes-Benz. He was shot through the window and it was later revealed at the autopsy that Thornton was shot about 22 times. Hundreds of bystander had swarmed the crime scene at the beginning hours. The police had pick individuals that were entering the area and were witnesses to the scene. 

The incredibly talented rapper was laid to rest on a Tuesday on November 30th 2021. The service was held by the First Baptist Church Broad Street. The family members were escorted by the Memphis Police for security purposes. The caravan had traveled from the cemetery to his Hamilton High School and Young Dolph’s alma mater. The entire funeral was given coverage by the media.
