I have been delighted by the prompt deliveries and good choice of meals. The mix of vegetarian, fish, meat, and easy meals offers great variety, especially over a several week period.

These meals have recaptured my love of cooking and affected how I produce the non Marley meals. Though a reasonably good cook before I now find myself trying techniques and combinations I would never have done before. After too many decades of trying to decide on variety in meals this has brought the joy and pizzazz back into cooking. We ordered Marley Spoon on the recommendation from a friend (and I found a $35 coupon online). My husband and I were sick of trying to come up with meal ideas and as we both work full time we would often resort to menulog on a busy day. Not anymore! Marley Spoon has revolutionised not only what I cook but how I feel about cooking – I now really enjoy it! Initially the aim was to only order during the school term, gain some confidence with some new recipes and pause the service on the school holidays, when we have more time at home… we actually decided that we like it so much that we increased our order for the school holiday period as we would be home more frequently in the evenings! Horrible Service

The 5 star reviews here REALLY surprise me. I’ve tried all the major meal delivery services and generally rotate between the company whose meals sound the best that week. I saw an add for a deal to try Marley Spoon and decided to add them to the mix as well. I scheduled the meals to come on a Tuesday. Tuesday morning I get a notification that my box was rescheduled and would actually be coming on Wednesday. I hadn’t planned a meal for Tuesday evening because I planned to use Marley Spoon so I immediately e-mailed them to find out what the problem was. I didn’t hear back from them until 2 days later on Thursday. At that point I messaged them to let them know I was disapointed in the service and bad communication surrounding my box delivery. I also let them know I was also missing a primary ingredient and my herbs were very low quality and wilted. It’s now been 4 days since that communication and I haven’t heard a peep. The meals in general are very simple and not quite as exciting as some of the other services I’ve tried. The portions are reasonable and the recipes are easy to follow. . . But if you have a problem with your box don’t expect the 5 star service you get with the other meal delivery services out there because you won’t get it with Marley Spoon! – Emily Ann

1. Too frequently missing one or more vital ingredients eg lime leaf, garlic, ginger.
2. Insufficient protein: 250 grams of mangled beef (not a strip to be found) for a fajita recipe to feed two!
